McLaren 720S Evo - Hungaroring (Q + Race Sets)

McLaren at Hungaroring has always been a great combination and this is the exact same with the new Evo. The McLaren Evo is a fast car but it does lack a bit of grip in the slow corners which can make it quite tricky at times. The main focus of the setups in this data pack was to address this weakness of the car without compromising too much pace of the car.

Data Pack Includes:

• Quali setup + Data (1:41.855) + Replay + Video
• Race setup (60m Race) + Data (1:42.850) + Replay

For the 25m LFM Races both setups are suitable, however, I would recommend the Quali setup over the Race setup. No changes are required for this besides setting the correct amount of fuel (~44L).

Tire pressures are aimed to be around 26.9 psi during the lap. Don't worry when you hit 27.0 or even 27.1 psi at some places, this won't cost you any time.

Driving Tips:

• Trailbraking will pay off a lot with the McLaren. Especially with this setup, trailing well helps rotate the car nicely into the corners.
• Try to not steer too much on the corner exits as that will increase the sliding. Sliding for too long is what cost you a lot of time.
• A perfect line in the chicane (T6-7) is essential to handle the sausage kerbs well. You need to cut the first one on the right completely and make sure to hit it with your left wheels. Besides that, it is important that you lift off the brakes completely and apply a bit of throttle before you hit the sausage kerb. Braking slightly too early and hit the sausage kerbs correct will be much faster than when you brake slightly later and not hit the sausage kerb correctly.

Setup Advice:

In case the car is still too oversteery the following adjustments are recommend:

• Increase front wheel rate by 1 click
• Increase front bumpstop rate by 1-2 clicks
• Reduce rear ride heights by 1 click (this may cause understeer at higher speed corners like T4 and T11)
• Increase TC instead from 2 to 3 (this will only help with traction issues and is also a bit slower
