Approach
The goal of this data pack is to allow you to learn to save your tires. While the hotlap is oriented towards ultimate laptime, the race laps are trimmed down a bit with the goal of saving the rear tire first and foremost. You'll see differences in steering angle, throttle application and reduced trailbraking in the race laps. This is all to give the car absolutely no chance to step out. If you feel the rear coming, stop it in its tracks. The rear tire will always wear more than the front, no matter what you do - but keeping the wear difference small is key to keeping balance and laptime alive until the end of the stint.

I hope this setup has achieved that and the inputs indicate it.

Adjustments
The setup is esports tier. This means that it does want to rotate and needs the driver to not ask everything the car could do. It's unlikely you will want more oversteer, but the choice is yours.

More oversteer (general/mid turn/exit):

  • Increase rear ride height
  • more negative rear toe
  • less wing (just... don't)

More oversteer (brake/entry):

  • reduce brake bias (not advised for the stint, as it wears the rears more under braking)

More understeer

  • higher front ride height
  • lower rear ride height
  • less negative toe
  • slower steering (=higher steer ratio)

Driving
Typically with the esports setups the Porsche almost requires you to use the throttle mid turn to keep the rear in check by locking the differential, while trailing the brake will almost lead to a spin. Its hard to mute that behavior in the Cup.

  • being off throttle and the brake control the amount of pitch and rotation you want into the corners, especially the faster ones.
  • The data should show gentle trailing to control the car's direction and rotation in Q, while in the R laps the trailing is further reduced
  • on throttle in Q you can be aggressive and use up the rear tire. In R you must be patient, let the weight and car settle before flooring it, especially T4.
  • Most apexes will be late, i.e. after the middle of the corner, which means the car has to rotate less while accelerating, which conserves the rear tire

Compare the two race laps with one another, especially in the tire killing corner 3, 4, 6-7, 10
