Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II
Watkins Glen
- 23 °C
- 27 °C
setups optimised for driveability rather than outright pace. despite this, these are capable of laps within a tenth or so of your typical "esports" setup. all laps are driven with LFM BOP at the time.
Watkins greets the Audi with a playful middle finger as it hurtles towards the chicane. fortunately, here we have ourselves dialled in for stability and consistency. keeping a little bit of throttle is important through the bus stop and the outer loop so the rear end does not get carried away, but otherwise, a perfectly consistent and enjoyable experience.
patience is advised in the longer corners before getting on throttle as the car is all set to tighten up as you put the foot down. short shifting to third gear out of turns 7, 8 and 9 is also advised in case you are struggling for exit traction.
further adjustments if you are struggling with keeping the rear in check:
- soften the rear wheel rate
- increase the rear bumpstop range
- soften the rear slow bump damping
- reduce the rear ride height
