Very drivable - lap time is on the brakes!

Nils Naujoks

Actually not such an easy track for the McLaren anymore after several nerfs.

However, this utiziles pretty much max downforce on the front, while keeping the rear low for the straights. The car will always already have rake.

Adjustments

  • If its too sensitive with fuel, keep lowering the rear, taking away front bump stop range, or add front spring by a click
  • play with higher brake bias, this might be on the edge especially into turn 3,5, 9 and 10.
  • If temperature is warmer than 23C consider using more brake ducts
  • If the car is too responsive, no worries: increase the steer ratio potentially
  • the kerbs are always an issue here, its better to adjust the line than the setup

Bonkers Version

Try with a soft front spring - it's quite ovesteery, but if you can handle it, go for it. This might give you some extra bite in the slow corners for the quali lap if you can keep the rear in place! Very advanced drivers might be able to take this down to 1:44's - but its definitely not on the same level as Audi or BMW here.

For LFM just reduce the fuel load to 50L, it will become a bit more understeery most likely, but it does not really need other adjustments. Add rake for extra bite or increase rear spring stiffness, or reduce rear bump stop range - takes away some of the drivability though.
