Mercedes is a fast car around Watkins Glen, however, to extract maximum performance it becomes very tricky to drive. The main focus of the setups in this data was to create setups that are relatively stable and have good drivability, without losing too much lap time.

Data Pack Includes:

• Quali setup + Data (1:42.557) + Replay + Video
• Race setup (60m Race) + Data (1:43.782) + Replay

For the 25m LFM Races both setups are suitable. The race setup will have more stable and consistent behaviour, while the quali setup will be slightly faster but more difficult to drive. No changes are required for this besides setting the correct amount of fuel (~48L).

Tire pressures are aimed to be around 26.9 for quali setup and even 27.0 psi for the race setup during the lap. Don't worry when you hit 27.1 or 27.2 psi at some places, this won't cost you any time and it should lower the chance to get pressure losses. These can occur quite easily around Watkins Glen.

Driving Tips:

• Having good throttle control at corner exits help finding pace around this track. Especially in the slower corners of the last sector it is essential to extract maximum pace from the car.
• The Mercedes is known for eating kerbs, however, the chicane can still cause trouble in this car. The first kerbs on the right is the only one that you can fully take without problems. The closer to the inside wall you drive, the better it is. For the other kerbs they can cause trouble if you cut them too much to the inside. Therefore, it's recommended to not go beyond the inside part of the kerbs at all and not cut over the inside grass.

Setup Advice:

In case the car is still too oversteery the following adjustments are recommend:

• Reduce rear ride heights by 1 click (this may cause understeer at the exit medium and high speed corners)
• Increase front bumpstop rate by 1-2 clicks
• Decrease front bumpstop range by a few clicks
• Increase rear toe with a few clicks (this will only help with traction issues at corner exit)
• Increase TC instead from 2 to 3 (this will only help with traction issues at corner exit)
