Bahrain, technical track, requires alot of throttle control and precise braking. I really enjoy this track.
This datapack is filled with tips and details, aligned together with telemetry and onboard data, hopefully improve your driving on this amazing track! Enjoy :)
General Driving Tips
-
T1-3: Threshold Brake right before the left curb, deep trailbrake into the hairpin, try to be early as possible on throttle so you can rotate and position it in way that you can cut through T3 fast (avoid snaps being smooth on throttle and dont cut T3 too much or you'll get and offtrack)
-
T4: 100m board threshold brake, focus into carrying good speed on corner entry and aim towards big right curb, once on the curb, go on power gradually and maximize corner exit by extending into the left curb (maybe a bit over it)
-
T5-7: Clip the left curb close to the bollard to set the corner entry into T6, trailbrake right when the curb ends and aim to put right tires a bit over the yellow paint, thus, you can have more angle attacking T7. It is key to have smooth throttle control and precise steering when transitioning on the esses, so you don't overshoot it
-
T8: As you are carrying speed from T7, aim towards the left curb and threshold brake a bit after your car is straight towards it. Trailbrake deep into the curb, and put more steering lock as you approach the apex, so you can minimize travel distance. Early on power again to rotate the car, and focus on the exit (avoid pushing wide into exit curb as it slows you down)
-
T9-10: Deep, deep trailbrake aiming a bit wider into T10 entry, since its a downhill corner entry, car gets light when entering it. Its important to be patient with inputs, and focus on exit speed as you head to a long backstretch
-
T11-13: Brake before 50m board, avoid trailbraking too deep so you carry more speed (aim to cut inside curb if possible), be tight on the left side on T12, to set good angle to attack long right hander, negotiate throttle so you don't overpush on exit, and overcook front tires. Brake using the AVIS board as reference, and be a bit wider on entry so you late-apex the corner, of course prioritizing exit speed (avoid overshooting on exit)
-
T14: Threshold brake on the 100m board, and aim to have right tires on the inside edge of the left curb, get on power as soon as you are on it and then gradually increase throttle towards the start/finish line

(In general, these settings are the ones that i feel its the most consistent overall, but feel free to fiddle around)
