Here is the rundown on Fuji Speedway, quite technical with fun twisty corners and fast corner complexes. This datapack aims to help you achieve better laptimes and driving techniques, aligned together with telemetry and my onboard data! Enjoy :)
General Driving Tips
-
T1: Long threshold braking just under the 100m board, prioritize a wider corner entry to rotate the car, go early on power focusing on the exit. Avoid going too wide on the exit curb, as it is bumpy and dirty so no momentum is lost (a bit over it is fine)
-
T3-5: Maximize the track by driving over the right curb, brake with smooth trailing between 100m and 50m board, cut deep into left hand corner through astroturf, patience with throttle to position car properly to tackle T4 carrousel. Keep as tight on entry and exit on the long right-hander, as it is an double apex corner. After T4, Trail deep, and be patient with steering input into T5 to carry a wider arc on entry, so you can go early on power and rotate the car towards the exit
-
T6-8: Heavy braking just before 100m board, important to trailbrake properly into the slow right-hander, so you don't overdrive it. Also, makes it easier to rotate the car on T7, as the focus on this slow complex is having good exit on left hander. (Short-shifting to 2nd gear helps the car settle while on rotation)
-
T9-11: Avoid going on the left curb, and smoothly brake when the outside green curb starts, aim to cut a bit through the right-hand curb, so you don't understeer or overdrive into T10. Keep tight between curbs so you minimize travel distance towards T11. Avoid going too wide on entry and also dont cut too much left curb as it is bumpy and you can lose momentum
-
T12: Carrying speed from T11, go a bit wider when starting to setup corner entry, so you have more arc to maximize corner exit (patience on throttle is key since asphalt becomes uneven around apex, so you don't snap and lose exit speed)

Brake Bias: 52.5%
Traction Control 3
TC Power cut 3
TC Slip Angle 7
(In general, these settings are the ones that i feel its the most consistent overall, but feel free to fiddle around)
