The Corvette has poor torque but with a bit of rake produces great downforce and is also decent on tyre wear.

Note that in rF2 single player you can use AI + time acceleration to skip the outlap, but this also makes the hotlap up to 2 seconds faster because the AI driving does not increase tyre pressures. You can identify this from motec. I use a manual outlap for all of my laps in datapacks.
