NOTE: The attached setups have been updated on 1st of January 2023 at 16:30. It now has according fuel levels (always double check with your own consumption!) and cooling settings for LFM S9 W1, the rest of the setup has remained unchanged. If you bought this data pack before the update, just re-download and you have all the changes! p992gt3cup_base_Q & p992gt3cup_base_R are the updated sets.
NOTE2: I updated the race setup with 2 extra litres, as feedback indicated that it was too close for some.
This setup provides a better starting base than the in-game default setup and can be carried over to other tracks too. Setup is saved with 50L of fuel (default).
Use the Diff Preload setting to adjust car behaviour to your liking.
Higher Preload = Less rotation on entry, more rotation on exit
Lower Preload = More rotation on entry, less rotation on exit
Driving tips for Nürburgring GP Sprint specifically:
- Use inside curbs in T2, T3 (very important!), T6 to help to car rotate.
- Do not use inside curbs in T4, T5, T7, T11
- You can use curbs in the chicane a lot, but be aware of stricter track limits on the second apex than on the first one.
- Brake hard initally. It's okay if the purple lights (tyres locking) come on early in the braking zone, but you do want to avoid them still being on at the very end. You can get away with it over one lap, less so over a full stint. Brake hard and get the car slowed down early.
